Ryan Joseph

Proud Big Sister

I would like to introduce you to my family's newest member.  It is my pleasure to present Ryan Joseph, born 11/18/2010 and weighed in at 7  lbs. 12 oz.  and he was 20 1/4 inches long.  In my totally objective and unbiased opinion, as his grandmother, he is a model for handsome babies, a new watermark against whom future children will be measured

First Day of Life

At Almost 3 Weeks

I have not been blogging much, lately, and this is the reason why.  I had forgotten what little poop machines babies were, and what energy and time is consumed by them!  Having babies is definitely a young woman's business.

Following his birth, my daughter had some complications which made it impossible for her to do a lot of the things she would normally do as a new mother, so I have been allowed to fill in for her while she recuperates.  I am with her on a daily basis, from early in the morning until my full time student and full time employee son-in-law is nearby.  I am delighted at the opportunity to spend the time with them and to be able to get to know my grandson this early.  He is a charmer!   My children do good work, all of them!

As the mother of a seven-month old, all I have to say is THANK YOU for being *that* kind of mother and grandmother!!!! I know it isn't easy, but God bless you for spending your time and energy helping that sweet little family. What beautiful grand-babies you have - congratulations!

Sandy,

I am grandmother to 11 grandchildren. He is very handsome. I am unbiased in my opinion but do know
What good looking babies look like!

Linda, the extra snuggles make it all worthwhile!
Lori, thanks so much! He is a charmer.
Robin, I love that one too. She is reserving final judgment about him, but overall thinks he is pretty cool. just wishes he would hurry up and play with her.
Letters, I absolutley mean that it is my pleasure and honor to be able to do this for her. She is my precious daughter, and I was working before when she delivered. This time I could help and there never was a question of whether or not I would. Thanks for the comment on their wonderfulness. I admit to not being entirely unbiased when it comes to them...lol
Campbell, thanks. I really meant it. They honor me by allowing it. That's what my mother did for me and hers for her. It is my privilege to be able to carry that on with my girl.
Maryanne, thanks. I appreciate your comment. He is a delight!
Gale, I appreciate your comment. Good to know that my possibly somewhat less than totally objective opinion is valid. I feel better now when I tell others he is beautiful...lol!
congrats to you, too...we are tied, I think.
