I would love it if all the adopted adults and all the mothers of loss would come to my home city, San Antonio, Texas, in August this year to let the State Legislators of all the states in the nation who are here for the National Convention of State Legislators, the guys who make the laws in each state, know how we feel. Consider this an official invitation to come visit my hometown. We will make you feel welcome! Seems fitting to me, in a higher sense, that the fight for rights and justice for the least powerful members of the adoption community should hold their gathering in the Cradle of Texas Liberty, the home of the Alamo!
This year there is an unpecedented coming together for the adoptee rights march, in that SMAAC, Senior Mothers Adoption Activist Coalition, is going to be partnering with the Adoptee Rights Group. I am so proud and grateful to be a part of this.
With any great cause there are great responsibilities. One of the responsibilities is the cost of doing business. I would love it if this was a freebie but unfortunately that isn't so. There are expense that cannot be avoided. If you are coming to the march, this will make it possible to do the things that must be done. There are costs for pemits, the booth and supplies. Posters, banners, flyers, booth space (VERY pricey!) and the like are all expenses that have to be paid for. As in everything, it is a Pay To Play thing.
If you cannot join us in August in San Antonio, this is your chance to suport those who are here, marching on your behalf. Mothers, Adoptees, Adoptive Parents, anyone who is touched by adoption and believes in equality for adoptees and justice for mothers, please go to the Adoptee Rights March Official Page and make your donation. $20.00, a fair share, from all of the people who believe in this mission should take care of all the expenses into "infinity and beyond", in the immortal words of Buzz Lightyear! There is a link on the page on the right side, that allows donations. I urge you to put your money down in support of the Rights and Justice!

PS: That's all I'll be wearing because it'll be so hot. I hope they let me on the plane like that.

I am considering it - I would like to see my friend Mony.
I'm just 'up the street' in Austin, so I'm planning on it.
